We can use А to ask for something in return, i.e. Я Анна, а Ты? - Я Анна, а Вы?. And can also be used to say “and yours?” А тевя? / А вас?.

Plural Nouns grammar

To make most masculine nouns plural, we just need to add “Ы” at the end of the word:

  • Студент -> Студенты

  • Стол -> Столы

  • Инженер -> Инженеры

    With feminine we replace the final a with Ы:

    • Мама -> Мамы
    • Лампа -> Лампы

We write И instead of Ы after the letters Г, К, Ч:

  • Врач -> Врачи

The Propositional Case with Locations grammar

All singular nouns ending in a consonant, take -e for ending:
